FAQ'S

Let me answer some common questions!

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CLASS?

Comfortable clothing that allows your body to move freely and whatever you feel most confident in.  You see it all in this class - leggings, shorts, sweats, T-shirts, tank tops, long sleeves (helps wick away the sweat), flannel shirts, crop tops, camisoles and more.  A change of shoe - no street shoes on our dancing surfaces.  Make sure shoes are in good condition - should have good support and not too 'chunky' as I define it.  A smoother sole (unlike a cross-trainer shoe) is better for a dance-fitness format.
Bring plenty of water and I recommend a towel for sweat.  Yes - we SWEAT!
You can also enroll for any class ahead of time via SCHEDULICITY, which links are available on this site.

WHAT IF I'M NOT A DANCER?

I always respond with 'You don't have to be a dancer!' There are many different walks of life that attend Rock That Body, all ages, all experiences and all fitness levels - the goal is to come in with a 'can-do attitude' and always give it your best.  Allow yourself some, as well as grace, to catch on.  Like anything new, there is a learning curve.  Anytime we learn a new regime or start a new 'habit' it takes time to learn and adjust.  AND IT CAN BE DONE!
RTB has been designed to make each and every person who enters the studio successful.  There are always options and modifications.  As the instructor, I show you the progression of movement.  Pick what you like, be inspired by others and ROCK IT!
Remember, this is, after all, a FITNESS class.  I am not training competitive dancers.  Go hard.  Do your best.  Have fun - once you get the hang of it, you can really begin the performance aspect of this class.
